Each year The Citadel Club of Charleston, under the auspices of the Citadel Alumni Association, conducts the Annual Remembrance Muster to honor those of The Citadel’s Long Grey Line who passed during the preceding calendar year. On Sunday March 22, Albert Fralinger Jr., Founder of Fralinger Engineering, was one of the Alumni recognized. There in attendance to represent Mr. Fralinger were grandchildren and great grandchildren of Mr. Fralinger (pictured below).
A special bagpipe ceremony was also performed and recorded by family: Albert Fralinger Remembrance Muster
Mr. Fralinger was part of the Citadel’s graduating class of 1954. He was also part of the Men’s basketball team. After graduating, Mr. Fralinger proudly served his country in the US Army from 1955 until 1957. Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant upon his graduation from The Citadel, he served as an infantry officer in the 5th Armored Division. He was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant and was a reservist until 1963.
