The New Jersey Society of Municipal Engineers has announced that the First Place Winner of the 2009 Municipal Engineering Project of the Year Award in the category of Municipal Construction Project is the Alloway Township Vacuum Sanitary Sewer System Project designed by Township Engineer, Carl R. Gaskill.
This is an annual award project to give recognition to Municipal Engineers who have contributed to the public health, safety and welfare by way of designing projects which are of an outstanding nature. The project was chosen on a statewide basis by evaluating the projects originality, uniqueness, innovation, social significance, environmental considerations, municipal requirements, advancement of engineering state of the art and extraordinary technological demands and project complexity.
Gaskill has served as the appointed Township Engineer
for the past 28 years. In addition
to holding a Professional Engineers license in New Jersey and Pennsylvania,
Gaskill is also a Professional Land Surveyor, Professional Planner, and
Certified Municipal Engineer. Since
1977 Gaskill has served as Vice President of Fralinger Engineering PA a well
known Southern New Jersey Engineering Firm.
